Mini Cuban Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls (12 count)

  • ½ lb sliced smoked ham

  • ½ lb sliced roasted pork (or leftover pulled pork)

  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

  • Dill pickle chips

  • Yellow mustard

Spread

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Garlic Pickle Butter

  • ½ cup butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp pickle juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from the heat and stir in the pickle juice.

  3. Pour about ⅓ of the garlic pickle butter into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected, and place the bottom half into the baking dish.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.

  6. Layer the ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, and dill pickle chips.

  7. Place the tops of the rolls back on.

  8. Brush the remaining garlic pickle butter generously over the tops of the rolls.

  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-8 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  11. Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
